This song was written to be played after "Wash". I was so happy with how rockin' "Wash" came out that I felt the need to write another "rock" song.
lyrics
hey there texas
have you been well?
have your scars finally healed
from the winter
that gave you hell?
sitting by your bedside
is when i realized
we're nothing more than bags of bones
and like mother said
"that which takes shape
will some day break"
and i can't forget your face
speaking of the fear
of how you didn't want to wake
oh i'd never seen you
i'd never seen you that way
sitting by your bedside
is when i realized
we're nothing more than bags of bones
and like mother said
"that which takes shape
will some day break"
and i know that you love me
and i know you'll never love me
and that's alright i don't mind
as long as i'm the one you call
when you're heart is so heavy
with the dark you can't speak of
sitting by your bedside
is when i realized
we're nothing more than bags of bones
and like mother said
"that which takes shape
will some day break"
